Gamblers of the Nile

First it was just a snake,
Then came the smell of frogs,
Flew came the swarming locusts,
Then the sea of blood,
Instead of meditating for a while,
They followed their leader's pride,
For they were the gamblers of the Nile,
Down came the angel of death,
Taking their first born child,
They wept but pursued the Jews,
And were swept by the water of a sea,
Instead of meditating for a while,
They followed their leader's pride,
For they were the gamblers of the Nile,
We fail sometimes,
Loaded with a challenge,
But instead of learning its lessons,
We seem to be very proud,
We forget to kneel and pray,
We are like the gamblers of the Nile.
