Heresy Hiding in the Gospel
Jordan Palangyos
I pray that this simple writing will ignite healthy
discussions in the spirit of love and humility. As believers and followers of
Christ, we can settle disputes and discover the truth if we allow the purity of
the Gospel to be our only norm.
The beast is using the Gospel to hide his venom. The
preaching is appealing. The preacher is well - equipped and has graduated from a
well-known University in the country. Many people are swayed with the use of modern
technology in the preaching coupled with excellent presentations and state of
the art church buildings. People are convinced that what they are hearing is pure
and true. But wait a minute! When one looks deeply and when one studies well,
the preaching is a different Gospel. The pastor is preaching a different
gospel! The “Gospel” is not pointing to the Cross of Jesus.
The beast’s minions preach that the Cross is not enough
for salvation- God already decided our destination before we were born. To them
(although many members do not realize it yet) the sacrifice of Jesus is
nothing; what matters is the decision of their “God” before the foundation of
the world. They use the Gospel to hide this heresy; thus, many people are
victimized thinking that what they discover is gold.
When God placed the forbidden fruit in the Garden of
Eden, it was a sign that God gave us freedom. God never treated us like robots.
He gave the law as a sign of our liberty. We are free in the Garden of Eden
until sin came and imprisoned us. It was not God’s plan that we fall into sin;
Men fell because they abused this freedom that God gave. God still loves us that
He sent His Son to die for our sins. This is the Gospel that Calvin twisted.
Selective salvation before faith is very confusing and contrary to God’s plan
of salvation. Salvation is offered to everyone; Jesus died for the sins of
every sinner.
Changing this sweetness of the Gospel is robbing the
assurance and hope that it offers. When you dig deeper and deeper the bottom line
the devil wants to impart is God is the author of sin. It is God who planned
the fall of man so He can choose people He wants to save. What a shocking
doctrine—God is responsible when a man refuse to listen to the Word. They use modern music to cover this heresy;
telling stories on how God changed their lives—people love to listen to man’s
stories than studying the Gospel. Many rich and popular people joined or were converted;
thus, being a member in this church is an honor. But when you are poor they
don’t care- what can they get anyway. Selective salvation produces selective
people.
Hiding the heresy in the Gospel of Christ is the best
technique the devil use. Six (the devil’s number) is very close to seven (the
number of God) thus if our mind is not subdued by the Word the devil wins. The
only source of salvation is Jesus no more no less adding something to complete
that salvation is a heresy. The Roman Catholic added good works; this beast
invented a false doctrine combining faith and reason which is even worst and
tricky. They abused the power of God. They used it to invent man-made doctrines
misleading churchgoers.
We are saved by the humility of Jesus on the cross
offered to all. God never wanted people to perish; God wants all men to be saved.
Salvation is offered to everyone for the rich and for the poor. God loves poor
people too. We have to hike and shout God’s love in the mountains because God
loves everyone. If we say that God loves everybody in the pulpit we have to be
serious about it. Hiding a heresy but using God’s love is a contradiction. We
must be honest and state our confession before preaching. If you believe that
God wants to save only some then say it before preaching. Do not use God’s love
then change the message to fool people. Stop using the Gospel to fool people.
Do not use God’s Word to cover heresies. The devil is very tricky- He hides his
venom and used God’s Word to trick Adam and Eve before the fall. This trick
will be repeated over and over but the Word is powerful. Let the Word work. The
purity of the Gospel will remain. The gospel is for everyone; Salvation is
offered to all sinners.
