Lutheran Autonomous Missions Philippines (LAMP) Activities During the Pandemic

Rice is the staple food of Filipinos. The Filipino spirit can survive any disaster but we cannot survive without rice on the table. This pandemic has caused massive losses leading to hunger in most impoverished cities and villages.

Most of our members struggled because of this pandemic. Brooms, which are the main products in the mountains were stuck due to lockdown. As a result, food is hard to come by on the table. Miraculously, some brothers who believed in our work provided some help. They donated sacks of rice to the people in the mountains. One sack of rice can feed a family for three to six weeks depending on the number of children.

Prayerfully, we hope to deliver rice in June again.  Praise and thank God for the kindness, compassion, and generosity of our friends whose hearts are for both the physical and spiritual nourishment of the people we serve.

Your having a heart of gold blessed three congregations: Bethany Lutheran Church in Delles, Bethany Lutheran Church in Wallayan, and Kapangan Lutheran Mission. May God always be glorified.
