Daily Devotion by Judah Palangyos

Christian traditions have been with us for the longest time. During December we celebrate Christmas, it is a Christian tradition that remembers the birth of Christ. In April, we observe Holy Week. This is to reminisce the love and sacrifice of Christ when He came into this world. But came other denominations saying that these are unbiblical and wrong. That we cannot find Words in the Bible saying that we should celebrate these traditions. As a result, these traditions became cold. In our country, they say Christianity was not like before. We cannot feel the joy of December air and we cannot feel the passion of Christ during Holy Week. It is because many chose to ignore it. But let me ask these individuals, what’s wrong when I want to remember Christ’s birth in December? What’s wrong if I want to remember the sacrifice of Christ during Holy Week? I am sure celebrating such is not a sin. Instead, this serves as a declaration of my faith. This is an announcement saying, “I am a follower of Christ”. I believe that these two occasions help in reminding the world that Christ exist and will be coming soon. Let us not ignore the importance of these traditions. Don’t let our pride and overthinking ruin our efforts in carrying the banner of Christ. Faith drives us to observe these celebrations, meaning it also came from the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Good evening….❤
